La Dra. Tynjälä es profesora en el Instituto Finlandés de Investigación Educativa, en la Universidad de Jyväskylä, Finlandia.
El área de investigación de la Profesora Tynjälä, es el aprendizaje y la enseñanza en la educación superior. Su investigación se centra en particular en el aprendizaje en la interfaz entre la educación y el trabajo, así como en el desarrollo profesional de los docentes. Päivi Tynjälä ha publicado numerosas publicaciones tanto a nivel internacional como nacional, y se ha desempeñado como editora en jefe de Educational Research Review (2010-2013). Actualmente es miembro del Consejo Editorial de Educational Research Review y Vocaciones y Aprendizaje.

Dr Tynjälä is Professor at the Finnish Institute for Educational Research, University of Jyväskylä, Finland.
Professor Tynjälä’s research area is learning and teaching in higher education. Her research focuses in particular on learning at the interface between education and work, as well as teachers’ professional development. Päivi Tynjälä has published widely both internationally and nationally, and she has served as the Editor-in-Chief of Educational Research Review (2010-2013). Currently she is a member of the Editorial Board of Educational Research Review and Vocations and Learning.
